Tis the season!
Summer is officially winding down and the transition to early morning, packed lunch, and carpool is upon us. It is so easy this time of year to get caught up in the whirlwind of schedule management- and let’s be honest- no matter how much planning we do-it never goes quite as planned.
Some relief definitely comes with back to school time; kiddos are out of the house being educated, engaged, and occupied for 8 hours a day. Who wouldn’t have a little happy dance for that? The complications arise when you reduce family time to a 2-3 hour window along with homework, sports, activities, showers, dinner, cleaning, laundry, etc. etc. etc.
When family time is in short supply, it is all the more essential to make the most of the time you have together. Place your focus on the things that matter, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. And perhaps most importantly:
Don’t forget to breathe.
Grab a glass of wine.
You’ll make it.
