Teens and Adults

Counseling Associate

Building the life you want, figuring out who you are, and dealing with those 'supposed to have it all figured out' pressures can feel like a juggling act. But here's the thing – it's your life, your journey. I'm here to help you cut through the noise and find your path, minus the pressure to fit that picture-perfect mold.

My Story

About Me I am a counseling associate holding a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health from Richmont Graduate University. I specialize in working with teens and young adults, and if this is you (or your child), I am deeply passionate about guiding you through your unique challenges. For teens, this means overcoming the anxiety of ever changing social situations, relationships, school and family life and for young adults, navigating fast life changes that occur in the transition  from college to career.  This includes complexities in dating, your family, your job and everything else. My goal is to empower you to move past your fears and embrace these changes with confidence.

My faith has been a cornerstone of strength and guidance, a constant in the ebbs and flows of life's unpredictability. You are invited to bring your spiritual life into our sessions, no matter your faith or background. I am passionate about helping clients who would like to integrate spirituality with the therapeutic journey.

Supporting Teens and Young Adults For the teens I work with, know that your experiences with anxiety are seen and understood. You are not alone in experiencing the dread of stepping into a new environment, navigating the complexities of school dynamics and parental expectations, and the desire to find comfort in social settings. I'm here to help you create a new narrative where you feel secure and valued in these spaces.

As for young adults, you're charting a course through major life transitions. The shifts from educational settings to professional life, the balancing act of personal relationships, and the search for self-identity are challenges you don't have to face alone. I offer a space where you can discover your sense of self, providing support as you transition into the life you desire to have.

How I work

In my practice, we engage in a collaborative process utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy. What does this mean? It means that we identify the false scripts that are keeping you stuck and identify the storyline that you, as the main character, would like to play in life.  We examine the power of your personal narratives and thought patterns, understanding that they direct your daily actions. I love seeing the lights come on when a teen realizes they can indeed learn to cope or when a young adult recognizes they have the ability to craft a life that aligns with their deepest desires.

In my space, every uncomfortable feeling is accepted, and every question is worth asking. Whether you’ve never sought counseling in the past or have been for years, I believe how I work is unique.  I work with you as a guide and help you find solutions so that you feel confident in your skills and not needing me long term. My desire is to empower you and watch you succeed! So, let's connect and collaboratively rewrite your narrative.
