My Story

Hi! I’m Nichole Walker, a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board-Certified Counselor with over 14+ years of experience working with children, teens, tweens, parents, and adults to reach their personal best despite challenges they may face. My journey into the field of counseling began as a School Counselor for 10+ years in both the public and private school settings with a passion for working with children from k-12 with various mental health diagnoses and life challenges. Since transitioning into private practice as a therapist, I have been able to expand my reach and narrow my focus to empowering anxious clients with tools to feel more confident and less overwhelmed, teach those struggling in their relationships how to create balance and happiness, help individuals navigate life transitions and ultimately live their best life rooted in boundaries, unapologetically!

 How I work

Making sure you feel safe, valued, and heard are my priorities. As your virtual therapist, I’ll partner with you to provide individualized counseling tailored to your specific needs. Working with clients 18+, I achieve this by integrating various modalities that I am trained in such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) where you make the connections between your brain, feelings and behaviors, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting (BSP) for the treatment of trauma, and holistic integration of Sound Healing and Breathwork, which is the conscious control of breathing incorporating sound to connect the mind, body, and spiritual healing. I love when my clients can see their progress through assessments or as evidenced by desired change in behaviors and outcomes. They leave their sessions feeling empowered, confident in their abilities to face life's challenges, and able to facilitate overall balance and healing from within. As Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

About Nichole

When I’m not seeing clients, I enjoy long baths, taking time to meditate, pray and practice sound healing with breathwork. I find that this helps me to relax, relieve stress and anxiety and rejuvenates me. I also love spending time with my two daughters binge watching shows on Netflix, Hulu or Disney+, connecting with my husband over conversations, daily talks with my mom, and going out to eat. We are also a Taekwondo family, so that keeps us active. Connecting and hanging out with friends, family and my sorority sisters when I have free time also energizes me.  


Nichole’s session fee is $200 per 50-minute session.
