“In a world filled with uncertainty and change, it is Allie’s passion to come alongside individuals to create a safe space for you to process your emotions and support your individual journey and accomplishments. She believes that you are more than what you come into the room with and strives to know you as a whole. It is her goal to create a space where you can be you and receive the support you are worth receiving while celebrating your accomplishments big or small!”

My Story

Hello! I am so glad you are here! My name is Allie Raymond and I am an associate counselor with Simplify Life and a Certified Trauma Professional.

Candidly, I am no stranger to the feeling of being on the other side of the couch and acknowledge the strength and vulnerability it takes for you to reach out! My calling to this career came from my own therapy journey as I struggled with anxiety and depression as a teenager. I remember feeling isolated and alone in a chaotic world when nothing seemed to get better. With this struggle, it has been my life goal to become a therapist to help children, teenagers, and young adults like myself who experience anxiety, depression, or challenging experiences. I find genuine joy in being able to come alongside individuals to see their growth. I hope that we are able to work together to help you overcome these challenges of anxiety and depression to help you flourish.

How I work “I can’t do it” “There is nothing left to look forward to” “This will define me” “Why is this happening to me?”

These are the phrases I often hear among the individuals and families who come into the therapy room. In a world filled with challenges and uncertainty, I help facilitate the transition from living a life in fear to experiencing a sense of freedom despite any circumstance. I am deeply passionate about coming alongside children, teenagers, and young adults who may feel isolated, hurt, stuck, or any other more complex emotion. Using both direct and empathetic communicative approaches, I create safe spaces for my clients to process their feelings, build upon their strengths, and reach their goals. For younger clients, I incorporate play therapy in Norcross to help them express and understand their emotions in a way that feels natural and supportive.

I recognize that counseling is not a one size fits all approach. I always believe that you are more than your circumstances and that those do not define you. By integrating various techniques, we will work together to find what is the most effective treatment for you! I invite you to provide feedback in order to get what you want out of our time together. I want you to be able to have a voice because, ultimately, you are the expert on yourself and I am here to support your individual journey. I hope to create a safe space for you to process the past, be able to live in the present and help instill hope for the future. I anticipate that we can work together to create change for you that lasts a lifetime.

About Allie Outside of the office, I love going to the gym to lift weights or spending time with friends and family. One of my favorite things is going to a local coffee shop with friends or spending time reading or journaling. I also love time with my furry friends at home! Contrary to popular beliefs, apparently cats and dogs can be best friends! I enjoy being out in nature and going on hikes, walks, or new paths to explore to take in God’s beautiful creation!

Allie’s session fee is $75 (sliding scale as needed) per 50-minute session.
