Lyndie Carneal

Spiritual Director

Lyndie loves offering a space for individuals to experience the presence of God in a way that brings hope, healing and wholeness. She has found that these moments allow opportunity for the beginning of self awareness and God awareness to meet and the faith journey of transformation and healing to begin.

My Story Hi, my name is Lyndie Carneal. I love walking with others through their personal journeys and faith experiences.  It is a joy of mine to offer a sacred space to listen and explore the desires of the heart while discovering God’s presence in our daily stories. I am a trained spiritual director and a graduate of the School of Sustainable Faith for Spiritual Direction.

My journey into spiritual direction began before I had the language to know what I was looking for. Weary from a hurried lifestyle and shallow connection with others, I desired a space to slow down and listen to the deeper longings for purpose and rest for my soul.  During that time I was invited to a book study with like minded friends on the same path. I began to meet people who spoke the language of the soul and had experience with spiritual direction.  Over the next several years I experienced God in a deeper, more personal way and grew in my awareness of my own inner journey of transformation. Since that time I have completed 2 years of training in spiritual direction. I love that I am now able to offer that same quiet place for others to experience rest for their souls.

How I work Spiritual direction comes from a desire to know yourself and God more fully. Spiritual directors are compassionate listeners who will help you recognize and respond to God's presence in your life.  A spiritual director is different from a counselor in that they do not diagnose problems; instead, they listen from a spiritual perspective, observe, ask thoughtful questions, and help you grow in your own spiritual attentiveness. I offer a quiet, relaxed, judgment-free conversation that provides soul space to “journey from the land of confusion into the land of hope.” (Henry Nowen) In this process, I am also able to also use my knowledge and training trauma-informed care and mind/body connection.

About Lyndie I have been married for 22 years and have 4 fun and lively children, who currently are in their middle and high school years. I enjoy seeking out the beauty of creation in all forms of nature, creativity, rest, and worship. I treasure fellowship with dear friends, true community, and authentic conversations. I love cultivating my garden, loving all kinds of animals, and going on adventures with my family. I look forward to meeting you and learning about your journey.

Lyndie’s session fee is $75 per 50-minute session.
